HONORS WORLD LIT
  • Honors is a rigorous reading and writing intensive course.
  • The late homework policy is 25% for 1 day; 50% for 2 days.  Late means not turned in at the beginning of the class period.
  • The class blog contains our daily grind. Link through schoology.
  • Your student will have homework most days. Students should have a planner or other organizational tool. Check for it.
  • The keys to success for Honors are time management and a positive mindset toward excellence.
  • Encourage your student to take opportunities to revise his/her work to improve skills and grades. Writing conferences are key.
  • Academic Integrity is an expectation.
  • I am your student’s guide. Encourage your student to communicate with me when extra help is needed. Seminar, lunch, after school, or in a google document-- there is a time for a work session with me.
  • I have tentative plans for a class field trip and for class movie nights. If you’re willing to chaperone, sign up tonight.
  • Contact me through email: rhonda.burton@dodea.edu
