Today's Tasks:
1) Get those 6-Word Memoirs in!
2) Set up binder: Reading
Writing
Words
What's the first thing we do? Date it and title it. Then keep all papers (handouts or hand-written) in order in the right section.
3) Vocabulary- Word #1 ubiquitous
Review the handout with Ms Burton. Then place it the WORDS section. Place dates on the handout.
Work together to research word #1, ubiquitous.
Now, go forth and use that word correctly around someone other than a 7th grader!
You have until 9/13 or 9/14 to share and record that use.
4) Memory Lines #1- All the World's a Stage
Memory lines are a way for us to bring in authors that we would not study otherwise, a way for us to move further towards our goal of being literate, educated citizens.
We study the lines, we say the lines, we memorize the lines, we recite the lines to Ms B.
Then when you hear or read a reference to these lines, you say, "Yes, I know exactly what that means!"
*A-Day Homework, due next class: #5 from handout- write your interpretation of the lines to the right of the lines
B1 class Homework, have done by next class: #s 1 - 4 on the handout. (the short day got us!)
Recitation date 9/13 for A-Day
B3 class- you will get this Monday :)
B-Day, to be discussed!
